The New Note From Last (NNFL) Features allows users at the same practice to write Mobile Notes that will pull enabled tabs from a previous signed mobile note. The features will allow the provider to pull from their own most recent note, the most recent note across all providers, or the most recent note from a provider of their choice.
Use Case
The following is an example of how this feature can be used:- A patient (in our screenshots this will be Travis) comes in for a intake visit with a Provider (in our images Dr. Jane Chambers).
- Dr. Chambers completes and signs and intake for the patient.
- However, for his next appointment the patient is seen by a different Provider, Dr. George Hall. When Dr. Hall goes to start the note he will see the "Prior Document Data" on the "New Note Details" page in Mobile Notes will be pulling from the note previously completed by Dr. Jane Chambers.
- Clicking the "More Details and Options" hyperlink will open a pop-up window that will give Dr. Hall the ability to decide if:
- Pull in data from most recent documents across ALL providers
- Pull in data from most recent documents of a chosen provider
- Pull in data only from MY most recent documents.
- The tabs that will be included are also listed in the small gray text at the bottom of the pop-up.
- Once the user clicks Start New Document the mobile note will be created pulled information from the tabs of the previously completed mobile note. Allowing Providers to easily pull information into their notes.

How to Activate New Note From Last Across Providers?
Users that have the Admin Access permission can turn the feature ON\OFF by using the radio button the Persons and Institutions | Practice | Preferences page.
Additional Notes About the Feature:
- NNFL does not currently pull from Group Tabs. Those will only pull from the current provider.
- The feature cannot be configured on a provider by provider basis. It is either on or off for the whole practice.
- Currently users cannot select tab by tab which data to pull from which user. It is currently all or nothing. Most recent across all providers, most recent from a chosen provider, most recent from themselves, or blank.
- Does not support configuration to default to the user's past content instead of most recent across all providers.
