For users with the Admin Access permission the "Providers" page allows users to edit provider details, preferences, permissions, and other options available for providers. To access this page, from the navigation menu select Persons & Institutions | Providers.
Select a provider to open up their details and numerous tabs that allow for configuration for the specific provider. Please note some tabs may not be available based on your practice's configuration.
User Account
The "User Account tab" allows the practice to view the login email, inactive option, and the Clear MFA option. "Login Email" is the email the user uses when they sign in to Valant. Selecting the Inactive box will make the provider inactive and prevent them from logging in. Clicking the "Clear MFA" button will remove any MFA settings.

Provider
The "Provider" tab contains the provider details and certain billing preferences for the provider.
The Inactive checkbox inactivates the provider record. (Clicking the "Inactive" checkbox on the "User Account" tab prevents the provider from accessing the account.) The provider record will remain available until the Inactive checkbox is clicked.
Selecting an "Incident-To Supervisor" from the drop down list and clicking Save opens a window which allows the option to add a "Start Date".
Preferences
The "Preferences" tab allows for specific provider preferences for lab requests, documentation and appointment reminders.
Permissions
The "Permissions" tab allows configuration of permissions. Use the checkbox next to a permission to allow or hide certain pages and functionality for providers.
Clinical Decision Support (CDS)
Clinical Decision Supports are pop up messages that serve as clinical reminders. Practices can choose which messages to receive by using the checkbox next to the reminder.
Notes
The "Notes" tab allows a section to leave any specific notes about a provider. Please ignore the string of numbers and letters in this field. That is autogenerated by Valant.
Availability
The "Availability" tab allows practices to set the providers availability for different facilities, days of the week and hours.
History
The "History" tab will show an audit log of and edits or changes made to a provider.
